Voici une trouvaille réalisée par hasard hier, sur le chemin de la gare à mon retour d'une sortie botanique. Il semble qu'il s'agisse d'une espèce qui n'est pas documentée en Suisse, j'en fais donc une petite documentation.
Poa infirma est une espèce de l'agrégat de Poa annua, comprenant également Poa supina. Toutefois, il s'en distingue assez facilement par les caractéristiques suivantes par son port plus fluet, son inflorescence plus grêle et plus divariquée (FloreAlpes), mais aussi des anthères plus courtes (< 8 mm de long) et une 2ème lemme < 2.8 mm de long, ainsi que des innovations stériles absentes ou desséchées à l'anthèse (Flora Gallica).
Ma collection possédait des anthères mesurant ~0.5-0.8 mm de long et un 2ème lemme mesurant ~2.3-2.5 mm de long.
J'ai trouvé cette plante dans une écologie particulière, parmi les graviers d'un chemin recouvert par les mousses et plantes pionnières de petite taille. Elle n'est probablement pas rare en Suisse et est à rechercher dans les environnements anthropisés.

Ich wäre zu 100% an diesem Winzling vorbeispaziert... oder hätte höchstens an Poa annua gedacht.
Wenn ich es richtig verstehe, entstand das häufige (allotetraploide) Einjährige Rispengras (Poa annua) vor langer Zeit aus der Kreuzung zwischen dem v.a. mediterran verbreiteten Poa infirma und dem in höheren Lagen wachsenden Läger-Rispengras (Poa supina). Was die Schwierigkeit bei der Abgrenzung der Taxa erklärt (oder zumindest halbwegs entschuldigt).
Poa infirma wird auf der Florenliste von Deutschland (Version 14 vom März 2024) mit "Frühlings-Rispengras" übersetzt: https://florenliste-deutschland.de/florenliste/index.htm ; die "Flora der Schweiz" (Hess, Landolt, Hirzel) übersetzt den Artnamen direkt (und dichtet keinen Frühling dazu) und nennt Poa infirma ohne Umschweife "Schwaches Rispengras".
Was mich interessieren würde: Wie verbreitet ist diese Art bereits in der Schweiz? Wer hat sie schon entdeckt – und was weiss Info Flora dazu?

RépondreApparently, the two species are very similar and the literature about them is contradictory. However, a good article was published in Evaxiana about the distinction of the two species with a literature review (Chicouène, 2021). The review is interesting and it seems that Flora Gallica criterias are not enough for reliable distinction. But with the other criteria given. The main charateristics are the shape of the gluma and the habitus of the main branches. But there are also some ecological and phenological indications to help with the spotting of individuals as Poa infirma is mostly flowering during winter: (december-)january-february(-april).
There isn't anything about it in Info Flora's taxonomy to my knowledge. None of my discoveries of new species for Switzerland were validated nor discussed so I'm uncertain about how they update their taxonomy.
Great Nicolas, never heard about this species. Besides your photos of the plants habitus, do you also have photos of some relevant details like the size of the anthers or shape of the glume?
Maybe you should write an email to someone in InfoFlora to attract their attention…

RépondreI don't have proper pictures of these details. I will try to go back and take good photos of them. I only collected two small specimens to study at home.
